وحدة الأستاذ العام هي جوهر نظام «أسكو» للتطبيقات المالية؛ فجميع الوحدات الأخرى (المبيعات، المشتريات، المخازن، الرواتب...) تولّد قيودها المحاسبية آلياً وترحلها إليه، مما يضمن سلامة البيانات وقابليتها للتدقيق والرقابة الكاملة.The General Ledger is the core of the "ASCO" Financial Application; all other modules (Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Payroll…) generate their accounting entries automatically and post them here, guaranteeing data integrity, auditability and full control.

- تصنيف الحسابات إلى مجموعات يتم تعريفها بواسطة المستخدم

- نظام الميزانية التقديرية على مستوى مراكز التكلفة والفترات، مع إنشاء مجموعات لمراكز التكلفة واستخراج تقارير تفصيلية للفعلي مقابل التقديري والانحرافات بينهما
- نظام اعتماد لسندات القيود يصل إلى ثلاثة مستويات من صلاحية الاعتماد عن طريق مستخدمين آخرين
- إمكانية طباعة سند القيد قبل اعتماده أو بعد الاعتماد من المسئول
